So I haven't written anything on here in a while... opps!
Frankly, there hasn't been anything all that exciting going on in my life, pretty much business as usual up until lately.
The semester is now over- JOY, so I am of course looking forward to summer getting started.
In the spirit of last summer I will once again be a little nomad, but to quote the dear Diane Von Furstenberg, "wherever she goes, she belongs. her clothes are her friends." This indeed will be the motto I adopt. although at the moment I am NOT feeling that my clothes are my friends--
Moving out is always a pain in this ass- really I don't wish it on anyone. Trying to figure out what to leave in NYC? (since I wont be living there again until next january) what to bring home? what clothes I need?- oh wait, I need them all! getting all my clothes home was quite the production. Packing was a bitch and a half and unpacking certainly hasn't been much of a treat either. I haven't had all of my clothes in one place in the past 2 years... and let me tell you, BAD NEWS. I have officially run out of room in my closet- and those of you who have had the pleasure of seeing it know- that's just plain embarrassing. Another embarrassing little tid-bit for everyone- I threw my back out bring the boxes I shipped home downstairs to my room. What can I say?-- I am a little bit of a mess at the moment. Shopaholics anonymous meetings are in my very near future if I don't start to control myself a little better. Who can blame me really though? With the fabulous internships I have bee lucky enough to have and all the opportunities to obtain amazing clothes, honestly, how can a resist? I am just going to chalk it up to an investment. Once I get unpacked and settled I am going to go through and and get rid of the stuff that I haven't worn in a while and then I have made it my summer goal to use this website I found www.closetcouture.com to organize my wardrobe. Ya'll should check it out because it is pretty cool. You can upload photos of you clothes and accessories and then use the "Virtual closet" to make outfits.
Ok- enough about my clothing dilemmas... I found a job for the time that I am going to be in ATL, working with an events and catering company. I am going in tomorrow to fill out paper work and then I will get to start work next week. YAY! So I will be here in "hot-lanta" for the next month, then back up north to go to my friend's house on Cape Cod for a weekend, NYC for a week, then out to Fire Island for about a month, then back to NYC, then back to ATL, and theeennnn..... PARIS! wahooo busy busy busy, but I am definitely excited for all of it. especially for Fire Island, where my dear friend Liz will be joining me this summer- making it promise to be an even more incredible summer than the last!
Alright, so now that I am home, I will probably have a little more time to post my stories, and now that I think about it- there actually were a lot of things that happened that I didn't get to write about. So ya, I really gotta get better about that.
